Tsitsikamma National Park

The beautiful, untouched and 80km rocky coastline of the Tsitsikamma National Park is nestled between Nature's Valley and the Storms River mouth and is part of the Garden Route National Park. Africa’s first Marine National Park protects a wonderland of inter-tidal and marine life and is one of the largest marine protected areas in the world.

Besides kayaking, mountain biking and climbing you can explore the unique and precious nature including the giant Outeniqua yellowwood by walking up the mouth trail. This trail crosses 3 suspension bridges with a length up to 77 meters and a height of 7 meters over the Storms River mouth; An extension to a lookout point is possible.

The Tsitsikamma Section incorporates various cultural heritage sites ranging from Khoisan cultural heritage sites such as caves and rock art to more recent cultural historic sites such as the ruins of small fisher settlements, remnants of the past forestry industries and grave sites.
